Overview

The ILM Level 3 Award, Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diploma in Leadership and Management Skills is designed for new and aspiring managers, team leaders, and supervisors who want to develop their leadership capabilities and manage their teams with confidence. This flexible qualification is available in four sizes — Award, Certificate, Diploma, and Extended Diploma — allowing you to choose the depth of study that best matches your career goals and available time. Whether you want a focused short programme or a comprehensive qualification, there is a route for you. The programme covers the essential skills of first-line management: understanding and applying different leadership styles, motivating and developing your team, managing performance and wellbeing, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and building resilience through change. As an ILM-accredited centre, VQ Solutions delivers this qualification 100% online with expert tutor support throughout. All learning is work-based — you apply your skills directly in your role as you study, with no exams and assessment through a portfolio of evidence. Learners who complete an ILM programme also receive complimentary studying membership from The Institute of Leadership. This qualification was introduced by VQ Solutions as a direct alternative to the Level 3 Team Leader Supervisor Apprenticeship, following the withdrawal of government funding for that programme.
